Vote Conservative at the Lewisham Council elections on 5 May 2022 and give yourself another voice for Sydenham!
Dickon Prior, Ray Squires and Ross Archer. all Sydenham residents, have been selected as your Conservative candidates for Sydenham ward, ahead of the Lewisham local elections. Lend Dickon, Ray and Ross your votes, and we can see some alternative voices at Lewisham Town Hall.
The Labour Party won all 54 seats on Lewisham Council at the last election in 2018. This means there is no opposition, and nobody to hold Labour to account for:
- Hiking your council tax by 4.99%: the highest increase possible without a referendum.
- Wasting the money you pay: in 2020, the number of Council employees earning more than £50,000 rose by 18%, to 898.
- Its terrible recycling record: in 2019-20, Lewisham Council sent 26.6% of your waste to be recycled or composted. Our neighbours in Bromley managed 50.9%.
Not one Councillor is ready to oppose their Labour Mayor. Lewisham Labour mark their own homework. There is no alternative voice for decision making in the Borough.
Your local Conservative candidates for Sydenham – Dickon Prior, Ray Squires and Ross Archer – can be that alternative voice. We will fight for the people of Sydenham, campaigning for you to keep more money in your own pockets, get the best possible services from the Council and ensure that Sydenham is one of the best places in London to live and work.
Even if you don’t normally vote Conservative, lend us your votes this time. We’ll stand up for Sydenham!
