As a first generation migrant, I came to this country after graduating in history from Delhi University with one suitcase and a big bag of dreams. Today I’m a proud British citizen seeking the chance to represent Lewisham North in Parliament. I successfully run multiple businesses. This journey has shaped my life. I have experienced and understood the struggles of hardworking people, and I firmly believe they are the backbone of our economy.
I was a youth activist when I was a student, volunteering and teaching disadvantaged students who had no access to proper schools or basic amenities like electricity or clean water. I had this passion for political and social activism, and I wanted to bring change in society. When I became a working mum with two kids, I was even more determined to make that change and leave behind a better world for the next generation.
Deeds are so much more important than words, and that means working across Lewisham North to make sure that you and your family’s lives are improved and made better.
I was not born in a traditional Conservative family. I chose to be one based on my life’s experiences because the Conservative Party fuels aspirations and values diversity and inclusion.
I am looking forward to meeting you, and I will be honoured to proudly represent you!
