Following the resignation of a Labour Councillor a by-election has been in called in Bellingham ward for Thursday 21 July.
Lewisham West & Penge Conservatives have selected Ross Archer to be their candidate.
Ross Archer has lived in Lewisham for over 20 years and works for a not-for-profit organisation that helps companies and consumers from falling victim to financial crime.
Ross says "I am delighted to be the Conservative Candidate for the Bellingham by-election. Bellingham is a fantastic part of Lewisham, but the Council have badly neglected it. If elected I will fight for improved transport infrastructure for Bellingham including the Bakerloo line extension, better and increased Council housing, for the council to be more accountable and to deliver the services it should such as sorting out fly tipping that is an increasing problem. I look forward to going out and speaking to local residents about my ideas and hearing their views."
